International

Mrs. Cassidy is a first grade teacher in Canada. She uses a classroom blog to keep parents informed about school and class activities and the academic progress of their child. Parents can view their child’s blog and school work. Mrs. Cassidy also posts video her class during special activities. The blog also allows parents to see what the class is learning and to view the assignments.

Ms. Schwichtenberg's is a first grade teacher in Canada. She uses a classroom blog to let the parents know what is going on in the classroom. She also lets her student use the internet to talk to children across Canada. The children are learning how different people celebrate holidays. The parents are welcome to view the student’s discussions.

International schools seem to be using technology in the classroom in very similar way of that of the United States. They use it to aid in the education of students and to help teachers stays organized and manage their time. However I did see a few differences.

First, International schools seem to be using computers as a direct way of teaching. Many students take their classes online and communicate with students all over the world. They also use the internet to communicate with parents and guardians.
